Blinken warns Chinese counterpart against implications if China supports Russia's invasion of Ukraine
KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During a meeting with State Councilor and Foreign Minister of China Wang Yi, U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken highlighted the implications if China were to provide support to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, according to a press release issued by the U.S. Department of State on Friday.
"[Blinken] highlighted the implications if the PRC were to provide support to Moscow’s invasion of a sovereign state," it said.
The Secretary of State also emphasized that the United States is committed to maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
The meeting of the diplomats took place on the margins of the 77th UN General Assembly in New York City.
