Blinken offers Israel to provide Ukraine with not only humanitarian, but also military aid
KYIV. Feb 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In the course of negotiations with the Israeli authorities, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken convinced them that the Israeli side should help Ukraine not only in the humanitarian field, but also in the military one.
"We’ve raised with Israel the importance of providing support for all of Ukraine’s needs – humanitarian, economic, and security," Blinken said at a news conference in Jerusalem on Tuesday.
According to the Secretary of State, he discussed in Israel the topic of cooperation between Russia and Iran.
The Israeli authorities have repeatedly stated that they do not and will not supply weapons to Ukraine, including air defense systems, despite its requests. Israel’s assistance is limited to humanitarian support, the transfer of protective equipment and "life-saving supplies."
