Blinken explains to Chinese FM risks of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine – Department of State
WASHINGTON. Jan 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, in a conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, explained to his Chinese counterpart the global security and economic risks posed by further Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Department of State said.
Secretary Blinken underscored the global security and economic risks associated with further Russian aggression against Ukraine.
At the same time, the Secretary of State said that “de-escalation and diplomacy are the responsible way forward” to resolve the crisis.
The parties also “exchanged views on how to advance work together following President Biden’s virtual meeting with President Xi on November 15, 2021, including on managing strategic risk, health security, and climate change.”
