Biotestlab starts exporting vaccines for poultry to Uzbekistan
KYIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – TD Biotestlab LLC (Kyiv), a manufacturer of vaccines and medicines for animals, has made the first deliveries of vaccines to protect poultry to Uzbekistan, the company’s website reported on Monday.
According to it, this is due to the reduction in 2022 of taxes for the poultry industry of the specified country and the establishment of subsidies for each sold egg and each kilogram of poultry. Thus, the poultry farmers of Uzbekistan received an impetus to development and created a demand for veterinary drugs and vaccines.
The company also said that it plans to start exporting three more veterinary drugs to this country soon. At the same time, the first batches of vaccines for the Uzbek company Biomedical Innovation have already been successfully delivered.
According to Biotestlab, the company has quadrupled its exports over the past five years. The geography of supplies has grown eight times – to more than 20 countries.
"At the end of 2021, the Lebanese market was opened. We are negotiating with partners from Pakistan, looking for distributors in Latin America, plan to open a representative office in Vietnam. All this is in line with our development strategy, which provides for the transformation of Biotestlab into an international company, making Ukraine one of the key suppliers of veterinary drugs in the world," CEO Olena Saliy said.
Biotestlab produces more than 130 types of veterinary drugs, including 41 commercial vaccines for animals and poultry. According to the company, it is among the TOP-20 manufacturers in the world in terms of the range of vaccines.
