Bill to extend moratorium on state mines bankruptcy registered in parliament

KYIV. Nov 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada has registered a bill on the extension of the moratorium on enforcement proceedings, enforcement measures and initiation of bankruptcy proceedings against state coal mining enterprises.

The authors of the legislative initiative providing for amendments to Article 1 of the law on the renewal of the solvency of state coal mining enterprises, in particular, are head of the energy committee of the parliament Andriy Gerus, as well as his colleagues on the committee – non-factional MP Viktoria Hryb, representative of the Servant of the People faction Yuriy Kamelchuk, representative of the Dovira group Maksym Yefimov, MP of the European Solidarity faction Mykhailo Bondar.

The text of the bill is not yet available on the Rada’s website.

According to Article 1 of the said law, the moratorium on the enforcement of decisions and enforcement proceedings, as well as on the initiation of bankruptcy proceedings, expires on January 1, 2022.
