Belarusian FM, EU foreign policy chief discuss migration situation over phone – Belarusian Foreign Ministry
MINSK. Nov 15 (Interfax) – Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei spoke with European Commission Vice President and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell over the phone on Sunday, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s website said.
"The complicated migration situation on the Belarusian-EU border was discussed. Vladimir Makei briefed his interlocutor on the steps taken by Belarus to reduce the flow of migrants from Asia, Africa and the Middle East, on the provision of humanitarian assistance to refugees on the border, and on cooperation on this issue with international organizations of the UN system," the statement said.
