Belarus registers 1,551 cases of COVID-19, 11 deaths in past 24 hours
MINSK. Aug 26 (Interfax) – Belarus has registered 1,551 cases of COVID-19 and 11 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Belarusian Health Ministry said on Thursday.
Belarus reported 1,357 contagions the day before.
The cumulative rate of coronavirus infections has reached 474,403 in Belarus.
"Over the entire period of infections in the country’s territory, 3,723 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died," the ministry said, adding that the death toll stood at 3,712 on August 25.
The coronavirus recovery rate grew by 1,504 to 467,836 in Belarus in the past 24 hours, the ministry said.
Another 19,773 tests for the novel coronavirus have been performed over the past day, bringing the overall number of tests to 7,720,145.
Nearly 1.6 million Belarusians have received their first shot of coronavirus vaccine, including more than 1.31 million fully vaccinated persons, the ministry said.
