Ban on EU, G7 visas for Russians justified by actions of Russia – Kuleba
KYIV. Aug 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said the ban on the issuance of tourist visas for Russian citizens by the countries of the European Union and the G7 is justified by Russia’s actions, that is, the same reasons why the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) suspended membership of Russia in its ranks.
"Back in April, UN World Tourism Organization suspended Russia because ‘Tourism is a pillar of peace and international friendship… Russia’s actions are indefensible and contrary to the very principles of UNWTO.’ Sounds fully applicable to an EU, G7 tourist visa ban for Russians," Kuleba said in Telegram on Sunday evening.
