Azerbaijan's physical exports of gas to Italy rise 1.5-fold, to Turkey fall 26% in Jan-Nov
BAKU. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Azerbaijan’s declared exports of gas rose 2.1% year-on-year in January-November 2022 to 18.648 billion cubic meters, the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee told Interfax.
Revenue from the gas exported rose 3.3-fold to $14.808 billion.
Gas supplies accounted for 40.75% of Azerbaijan’s overall exports in January-November 2022 compared to 22.62% in January-November 2021.
According to the State Customs Committee, Italy was the largest importer of gas at 8.07 bcm for $10.9 billion in January-November, accounting for 43.3% of all supplies.
The State Customs Committee keeps export statistics on the basis of declarations. Declarations on gas sold are furnished following the actual sale, not when it is pumped through pipelines.
