Azerbaijan sees growth in COVID-19 cases, 31 related deaths in past 24 hours
BAKU. Nov 2 (Interfax) – Azerbaijan has registered 2,178 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the cumulative number of infections in the country to 534,748, the Azerbaijani coronavirus response headquarters said on Tuesday.
Azerbaijan reported 1,200 coronavirus infections the day before.
Over the past day, 31 patients have died from COVID-19, as compared to 27 the day before, and the overall death toll has reached 7,132.
To date, 497,363 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Azerbaijan, an increase of 2,010 over the past day.
Currently, 30,253 persons are either quarantined or are receiving therapy.
There were 11,889 tests for the novel coronavirus done over the past day, as compared to 7,161 the day before. The total number of tests for COVID-19 has now reached 5,214,586.
