Azerbaijan cuts gold exports 29.5% in 11 months
BAKU. Jan 19 (Interfax) – Gold exports by Azerbaijan plummeted 29.5% year-on-year to 3,646.24 kilograms in January-November 2022, the country’s government told Interfax.
The gold exports fell 15.4% in value to $156.13 million.
Silver exports grew, by 71.2% to 4.626,84 kg and rose 54.2% in value, to $3.208 million.
All the gold and silver was exported to Switzerland.
Anglo Asian Mining Plc and the state-owned AzerGold currently produce gold in Azerbaijan.
