ASKA-Life cuts net premiums by 16% in H1 2022
KYIV. Aug 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PJSC Ukrainian joint-stock insurance company ASKA-Life (Kyiv) in January-June 2022 collected net insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 151.6 million, which is 15.7% less than in the same period a year earlier, according to the company’s financial report, published in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine.
The company’s gross premiums in the first half of the year decreased 15.7%, to UAH 151.6 million. Premiums were not transferred to reinsurers.
In the first six months of 2022, the company paid out UAH 3.728 million to customers, which is 2.1 times less than in the same period a year earlier.
During the reporting period, the company’s administrative costs fell by 25.1%, to UAH 5.658 million, and distribution costs decreased by 10.7%, to UAH 143.815 million.
ASKA-Life was registered in 2003 and specializes in life insurance.
As reported on its website, 55.6667% belongs to SCM Finance Limited, Sosis Alexander holds 10.5%.
