As result of clashes during LGBT Pride in Odesa, 61 people brought to justice, including 12 minors – police
KYIV. Aug 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Law enforcement officers detained 15 participants in a fight with police during the LGBT pride in Odesa on Saturday, administrative materials were drawn up against 46 more people, the press service of the Odesa region police reports.
"According to the results of the preliminary investigation within the framework of the proceedings in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 15 people aged 18 to 25 years were detained. The issue of announcing suspicions to them and choosing a preventive measure is being decided. With regard to another 46 people, including 12 minors, administrative materials were drawn up under Article 173 (minor hooliganism) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses," the message says.
It is said that the parents of the adolescents who took part in the fight will also be prosecuted under Article 184 (failure of parents or their substitute persons to fulfill their responsibilities for raising children) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.
As reported, during the Equality March in Odesa on August 28, a group of opponents of the action, after the end of the march, attacked the police using tear gas. As a result of the clashes, 29 law enforcement officers were injured.
