Around 23,900 people diagnosed with Covid-19, some 81,000 get vaccinated in Ukraine last week
KYIV. Sept 14 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Some 23,864 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were registered in Ukraine during the week on September 5 through September 11, including 3,706 cases among children and 551 among medical workers, the Health Ministry of Ukraine has said on its website.
According to the ministry, 4,734 people were hospitalized with COVID-19, and 70 deaths from the disease were recorded.
The Health Ministry also reports that 81,037 people were vaccinated against COVID-19 during the week under review. Some 33% of them received the first doses, 8% – the second, 56.5% – the first booster doses, and 2.2% – the second booster doses.
During the entire period of the COVID-19 pandemic in Ukraine, 5.096 million people fell ill, around 109,000 deaths from the disease were recorded.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19 in Ukraine, almost 16.066 million people have been vaccinated, of which 15.3 million people received two doses, 2.055 million people received the first booster dose, and 18.581 people received the second booster dose.
Around 764,000 people did not receive the second dose and around 13.2 million people did not receive the first booster dose.
