Army of Drones signs contracts for purchase of 986 drones for UAH 1.9 bln – ministry
KYIV. Oct 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine announced the signing of contracts for the purchase of 986 drones for the funds raised for the Army of Drones.
"While the Russians are fighting civilians, launching dozens of missiles at Ukrainian cities, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, like real warriors, give them a worthy rebuff at the front. Thanks to your donations, the Army of Drones has signed contracts for the purchase of 986 drones worth UAH 1.9 billion. Some of these drones have already at the front," Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
He also said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine need more drones to bring the time of victory closer and called on Ukrainians to support the Army of Drones with donations through the Diia mobile application or the UNITED24 platform.
As reported, at the beginning of August 2022, the Ministry of Digital Transformation announced the purchase of 118 drones for the funds raised for the Army of Drones on UNITED24 platform.
