Armenia boosts volume of agro industry output 1.6% in 2022
YEREVAN. Feb 6 (Interfax) – Armenia boosted the volume of agricultural and fishery output 1.6% year-on-year to nearly 1.084 trillion drams in 2022, the country’s Statistics Committee said in a statement.
Specifically, the volume of agricultural production increased 0.4% to about 1.021 trillion drams, of which crop output rose 5.7% to around 518.798 billion, though livestock breeding declined 5% to 502.569 billion drams.
The Statistics Committee reported that the volume of production in the fishing industry surged 26.9% to about 60.263 billion drams.
The official exchange rate as on February 6, 2023, is 396.48 drams/$1.
