Almost 6.5 mln Kyivstar subscribers informed by SMS about possibility of COVID-19 vaccination in summer – company
KYIV. Sept 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Almost 6.5 million subscribers of the Kyivstar mobile operator in nine cities of Ukraine during June-August 2021 were informed via SMS notifications about the possibility of vaccination against COVID-19, the operator’s press service said.
In addition, as noted in the release, all Kyivstar subscribers got the opportunity to use the Helsi mobile application and the Helsi.me medical service website without paying for mobile data traffic.
Thus, according to Kyivstar, almost 1.2 million users have already downloaded the Helsi mobile application, and more than 600,000 patients make appointments every month using the Helsi.me website.
"We have many plans that will make Helsi.me users and Kyivstar subscribers happy. In particular, we are actively working on the possibility of online consultations. This is a very useful and convenient function, because it makes high-quality medical services more accessible," CEO of the Helsi.me medical information system Yevhen Donets said.
"During the summer, using Big Data tools, we made targeted SMS mailings in cities where the planned vaccination against COVID-19 was carried out. In the SMS, we indicate a link to the mobile application and a page for registering for vaccination, where you can select a city, date and convenient time. The vaccination campaign continues, and we plan to continue informing our subscribers about the possibility of online registration at any convenient point for them where they can get vaccinated," Denys Melnikov, the head of Kyivstar’s multimedia and OTT services department, said.
In June 2021, Kyivstar and Helsi UA signed a memorandum of cooperation under which they plan to develop innovative areas in the field of digital medical services, as well as inform the population about the possibility of registering at COVID-19 vaccination points in various cities of Ukraine.
