All contracts for purchase of winter clothing concluded today, deliveries begun – Defense Ministry
KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar said that to date, all contracts for the purchase of winter clothing for the military have been concluded, and a significant supply has already begun.
"Of course, winter clothing is a priority and we have started buying it since the summer, albeit in small batches," as was reported regularly at briefings. As of today, all contracts have been concluded, and a significant supply has already begun," she wrote on Facebook.
According to Maliar, now the Command of the Syllogistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is unloading and registering a caravan of transport with winter things, which was purchased by Deputy Defense Minister Vyacheslav Shapovalov. We are talking about more than 100,000 fleece, more than 200,000 sets of thermal underwear, more than 180,000 underpants.
"Plus a separate uniform, separate trousers, separate shirts. By Saturday, this should already be reflected in the accounting. Then the Command will distribute," the Defense Ministry stressed.
