Alfa Bank's net profit triples in Jan-Sept
KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The net profit of Alfa Bank (Kyiv) in January-September 2021 amounted to UAH 2.458 billion, which is three times higher than this figure for the same period in 2020 (UAH 810.444 million).
According to the statements published on the website of the financial institution, its net profit in the third quarter of 2021 reached UAH 997.7 million, which is 2.9 times more than in the corresponding period last year (UAH 348.2 million).
Net interest income in January-September 2021 grew by 19.7% compared to the same indicator a year earlier, to UAH 4.5 billion, and net fee and commission income – by 21.9%, to UAH 2.76 million.
The bank’s assets during the reporting period expanded by 8%, to UAH 105.5 billion, while loans to customers – by 14.6%, to UAH 54.8 billion.
Liabilities grew by 6.2%, to UAH 93.4 billion, and customer deposits – by 9%, to UAH 79.879 billion.
Equity capital has grown by 25.6% since the beginning of the year, to UAH 12.085 billion. The charter capital remained unchanged (UAH 28.73 billion).
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, as of June 1, 2021, Alfa-Bank ranked sixth in terms of total assets (UAH 115.23 billion) among 73 banks operating in the country.
