Airport Kyiv increases passenger traffic by one third in Jan-Aug
KYIV. Sept 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Passenger traffic of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv international airport in January-August 2021 amounted to 721,800 passengers, which is 31.3% higher than in the same period of 2020 (549,500).
As reported on the airport’s website, in August, the airport serviced three times more passengers than a year earlier – almost 197,600 (versus 65,600 in August 2020). At the same time, 189,700 passengers were serviced on international flights, and 7,800 on domestic flights.
As reported with reference to Board Chairman of the Kyiv international airport Denys Kostrzhevsky, it is expected that in 2021 the airport will more than double its passenger traffic compared to the figures for 2020 (704,500 people), to about 1.5 million people.
