Aircraft with first Leopard 2 tank departs from Canada
KYIV. Feb 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – An aircraft with the first Leopard 2 tank departed from Canada, one of those that the country provided for Ukraine.
"Today [on February 4], an Air Force of Canada aircraft departed Halifax carrying the first Leopard 2 main battle tank that Canada is sending to Ukraine," Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand said on Twitter on February 4.
She said Canada supports the people of Ukraine and we will continue to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the equipment necessary for victory.
Earlier it was reported that Ottawa will supply Ukraine with four Leopard 2 tanks.
