Air defense systems to be delivered to Ukraine as quickly as physically possible – Austin
KYIV. Oct 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Air defense systems from allies and partners will be delivered to Ukraine as quickly as physically possible, U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said.
Austin said at a press conference following a meeting with the Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine in Brussels on Wednesday that these systems will be delivered as quickly as they can physically put them there. He also said that they will supply the systems that they have at their disposal, which, countries like Germany have at their disposal. He added that they will try to provide additional ammunition to the existing systems used by the Ukrainian forces.
He stressed that the countries will do their best as quickly as possible so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive all the necessary capabilities to protect the Ukrainian people.
