Agriculture Ministry grants subsidy for keeping 53,680 sheep, 6,210 goats to farmers
KYIV. Aug 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has granted a special budget subsidy for keeping 53,680 sheep and 6,210 goats to farmers, the funds will be sent to recipients in the near future, the ministry wrote on Facebook on Saturday, August 27.
"Until August 1, the structural divisions of regional state administrations, ensuring the performance of functions on agricultural development, accepted documents for calculating subsidies for keeping goats and sheep. This subsidy was accrued for keeping 53,680 sheep and 6,210 goats," the ministry wrote.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy said that at present, the funds are distributed among lower-level budget spending units within the requested amount of state support. They will be sent to recipients shortly.
In total for 2021, UAH 50 million are provided for state support of animal husbandry in the state budget.
