AFU repulses enemy attacks in area of 14 settlements in 24 hours – General Staff
KYIV. Feb 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Over the course of a day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks in the area of 14 settlements in Donetsk region. Ukrainian aviation, rocket troops and artillery attacked 17 areas where the enemy’s manpower and equipment were concentrated, the General Staff said.
"Over the past 24 hours, our units repelled the attacks of invaders in the areas of the settlements of Verkhniokamianske, Vasiukivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Kamianka, Pervomaiske, Vesele, Nivelske, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobeda and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region," the AFU said on Facebook page on Monday.
"Over the past day, the Ukrainian aviation of the Defense Forces delivered nine strikes on enemy concentration areas and a strike on the positions of its anti-aircraft missile systems. And units of the missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit the command post, eight enemy manpower concentration areas and an ammunition depot," the AFU said.
It is emphasized that the invaders are focusing their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Novopavlivka directions.
"In the course of hostilities in the area of the town of Bakhmut, there is a complete lack of coordination and interaction among the military personnel of the Russian occupation forces and mercenaries of the so-called Wagner PMC," the Ukrainian military said.
The General Staff also said that in the village of Vasylyivka, Zaporizhia region. There, the occupiers have equipped a local children’s hospital as a military hospital for wounded servicemen of the Russian armed forces. The admission of children to the hospital has been stopped.
