AFU General Staff: Threat of shelling of Ukraine from Belarus remains

KYIV. Sept 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The threat of missile and air strikes on the territory of Ukraine from the territory and airspace of Belarus currently remains, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Wednesday.

"The threat of missile and air strikes on the territory of Ukraine from the airspace and the territory of the Republic of Belarus remains," the AFU said.

At the same time, in general, the situation in Volyn and Polissia directions remains unchanged. Certain units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to perform tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

In other directions, the enemy continued to fire at military and civilian targets. In particular, in Siversk direction from mortars and rocket artillery in the areas of the settlements of Bleshnia, Hai, Senkivka of Chernihiv region and Manukhivka, Yuryeve, Mykolaivka, Khodyne, Porokhon, Volkivka, Zapsillia, Stukalivka and Novovasylyivka of Sumy region.

In Kharkiv direction, the occupiers fired from cannon and rocket artillery in the areas of Duvanka, Sosnivka, Chornohlazivka, Myronivka, Kostiantynivka, Udiv, Ruska Lozova, Pytomnyk, Cherkaska Lozova, Cherkaski Tyshky, Ruski Tyshky, Bazaliyivka, Stary Saltiv, Kostiantynivka and Peremoha.
