AFU Air Forces announce recruitment of cadets for training to work with Nasams and Patriot
KYIV. Feb 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announce the recruitment of cadets for training in working with advanced anti-aircraft missile systems, the Air Forces said on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
“Air defense units have already received some of the most modern anti–aircraft missile systems in the world: IRIS-T, NASAMS, Crotale, Aspid, Avenger, Gepard and others. Patriot and SAMP/T are next in line. And there will be more and more of them, and then they will completely replace the old fleet of Soviet equipment. That is why the Air Forces need motivated defenders and defenders who are able to master these weapons and stand up for the defense of the country,” the report says.
The Air Force notes that this is a platform “for promising and highly paid service.”
“To become one of those whom Ukrainians call ‘gods of air defense,’ one just needs to make a little effort. One can become a professional defender of the sky at the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National Air Force University. So far, the military university is dispersed throughout Ukraine, but the learning process continues both in Ukraine and abroad. During the wartime period, young people have the opportunity to enroll in the university under a simplified procedure,” the report says.
Currently, military personnel and teachers are undergoing appropriate training on the operation and combat use of modern air defense systems in several countries in Europe and the United States. “But the time is not far off when specialists in the management of complex air defense systems will be trained in Ukraine,” the Air Force noted.
