After detention of Wagner fighters, Russian special services reformat active actions, start disinformation special operation against Ukraine – MP Bezuhla
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russian special services could track some of Ukraine’s special services and intelligence activities to gather information about Wagner PMC mercenaries, and after their detention, launched a disinformation special operation against Ukraine, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada’s temporary investigation commission on illegal actions of representatives of state authorities and other persons against the sovereignty of Ukraine Maryana Bezuhla (Servant of the People faction) said.
"According to preliminary information received by the TIC, there is a reason to believe that the Russian special services could trace part of the activities of special services and intelligence of Ukraine in the work of documenting, and began their counter-game, using active measures of Ukraine within the operational game as a cover for their active activities against Ukraine […] Since the detention of mercenaries, Russia’s special services have completely reformatted their activities and launched a disinformation special operation against Ukraine," Bezuhla said at a briefing on Monday.
At the same time, she said that the TIC is going to recommend law enforcement agencies, , to analyze within their powers the available facts about Russia’s disinformation activities.
According to Bezuhla, the commission established that Russia’s special services had allowed the deportation of 33 mercenaries from the territory of the Russian Federation to Belarus, and that the relevant documents for extradition were being prepared after the Wagner fighters were detained in Belarus.
