Advisors to Normandy Format’s leaders declare disagreements, but express willingness to work on them – Yermak

KYIV. Jan 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Format declared a number of disagreements following the meeting in Paris, but expressed a willingness to work on them, Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has said.

“The sides have openly declared that there are many disagreements, but there is also a willingness to work on these disagreements,” Yermak said at a briefing following the meeting of advisers to the leaders of the Normandy Four in Paris.

According to him, the next meeting of advisers may already take place in Berlin in two weeks.

When asked what changes he expects over these two weeks, he said “all participants in the meeting must draw conclusions in order to come up with new proposals.”

“Everyone is interested that we achieve results in two weeks… We clearly understand what disagreements we have to work with,” he said.

Yermak said the sides in Paris managed to agree on a communiqué.

“It is important that today’s communique is the first document that has been agreed upon since 2019,” Yermak said.
