About 17 mln tonnes of agricultural products exported from Ukraine through 'grain corridor' since Aug – Turkish Defense Minister
KYIV. Jan 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – About 17 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported from the ports of Ukraine as part of the "grain initiative" since August 2022, Turkish Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar said.
According to the Turkish Anadolu agency, on Friday in the Tokat province, the minister stressed that Turkey is against turning the Black Sea region into a zone of strategic confrontation.
"We oppose the transformation of the Black Sea region into a zone of strategic confrontation. Turkey is committed to a ceasefire and long-term peace in Ukraine," he said.
Akar noted that since the beginning of August last year, about 17 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported from the ports of Ukraine through the "grain corridor."
