Zelenskyy: Ukraine to be uncompromising on its way to NATO
KYIV. April 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine will be as uncompromising on its way to NATO as it is in repelling Russian aggression, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
“Ukraine is a warm, friendly and uncompromising country in the war. We will not give up land, freedom, our children who were deported by force to Russia, and our independence. We are uncompromising in friendship. We consider Poland our true friend and partner forever,” Zelenskyy said at a press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.
The Polish president was just as uncompromising when he supported Ukraine on its path to the European Union, Zelenskyy said.
“We received the candidacy thanks to our many partners, but above all thanks to Poland. Thank you for your uncompromising support,” he said.
“I would also like to say and convey to all our partners who are constantly looking for compromises for Ukraine on the way to NATO that Ukraine will be uncompromising in this matter. And I am glad that Poland is with us on this path,” Zelenskyy said.
