Reznikov announces 11th meeting of Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base
KYIV. Apr 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The 11th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group will take place at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov has said.
“This will be the 11th Ramstein-format meeting. It will take place at the Ramstein Air Base,” he told reporters after the presentation of the state anti-corruption program for 2023-2025.
According to the minister, the priorities of the Ukrainian delegation did not change. The first one is the air defense system, the second one includes armored vehicles and 155m artillery shells, and the third one covers electronic warfare means, drones, and anti-drones.
Reznikov did not specify the date of the meeting.
While commenting on the issue of providing Ukraine with F-16 aircraft from its partners, the minister said that this is “the most complicated and expensive system that needs maintenance.”
“Everyone counts money. They count the money of their taxpayers. Thus, making a decision to provide us with aircraft means that all countries should be ready to send aircraft with spare parts and maintenance. It will be about not hundreds of millions in assistance, but about billions. We should commend our partners – if they make a decision, they do this responsibly,” he said.
