Turkey to continue trying to restore negotiation process between Ukraine, Russia – Foreign Minister
KYIV. Apr 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has said that Turkey plans to continue making efforts to restore the negotiation process between Ukraine and Russia, according to Anadolu Agency.
During a meeting with Turkish journalists at the office of the Turkish Permanent Representative to NATO, Çavuşoğlu said that Ankara is concerned that both sides are currently preparing for serious offensive actions in the coming months.
“We are concerned about this and we will continue our efforts to achieve a lasting peace by protecting the state border and territorial integrity of Ukraine at the negotiating table as soon as possible,” Anadolu quoted the minister as saying.
